Why Do Women Always Act And Feel Like Men Are Following Them?

I think we are somewhat groomed by society to feel that men are pursuing us for less than honorable reasons. While we don't want it to be the case, obviously, we are preached at (quite correctly on many occasions) by our parents and loved ones that men are guilty of an evil heart, unless proven otherwise.
