Driving permit hours with trainer?

So I've had my driver's permit since february and I've only had one lesson with the trainer. and sinced each session is only one hour, I still have 5 more classes to get done by august. But once you finish all 6 hours with the trainer, do they give you some kind of paper or certificate saying you completed the hours or what?
