Need Ideas for a fanfic I'm collaborating on? We have most of the plot, just missing an important piece. Help.?

A friend and I are writing a MCR FanFic and we know most everything about the plot, just not how we meet them. We want something Original. It's not like High School. They are the age they are now, and we're college students. We don't know how to meet them We don't want it to be at a concert, that's overdone. Help? Any Suggestions?
